South Fork Junior High School

The Livingston Parish School Board realized the need for a new Junior High campus to accommodate the parishes population increase. Ziler Architects was selected to design new buildings to accommodate the needs of the new campus at the site an existing elementary school campus. The project includes a Classroom building, Gymnasium, and Cafeteria expansion.

The site topography and Flood zoning provided challenges which limited where the new facilities could be located. To maximize the limited footprint, the Classroom building was designed as a 2 story structure. The site also remained an active campus for the duration of Construction, where we successfully worked closely with the School Board to achieve a secure and safe campus, and minimize disruption to the existing Elementary school campus operations.
