Ziler Architects established its offices in 1994 and incorporated in 1998. Our success is directly related to our commitment to our clients. We strive to meet the objectives of the project while designing a facility that is not only functional but cost effective as well.
Ziler Architects was founded on the belief that the client is the most significant member of our team. The involvement of our client at all levels of design is a crucial part of the success of the project. WHAT WE DO
As lead designer, James Ziler worked on more than 500 projects for the public sector, including, but not limited to, Livingston, Lafayette, St. Martin and Evangeline Parish School Boards, Lafayette, Jefferson Davis, Orleans, St. Tammany, and Acadia Parish Governments, Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S Social Security Administration, and Louisiana Office of Facility Planning and Control.
The design team assembled includes architects, interns, and associate personnel capable of providing specific, accurate client satisfaction. The Ziler team is individually competent to perform their tasks and services for client specific needs.

James 'Jim' O. ZilerOwner/ArchitectAs Founder and Principal for Ziler Architects, Mr. Ziler is responsible for Client contact, Space Planning, Program Design, Project Management, Specifications, Construction Documents, and Contract Administration. As Project Manager, Mr. Ziler follows each project to insure quality control, time management and client satisfaction.
Jim has been accepted into both state and federal courts as an expert witness in the field of architecture, roofing, waterproofing, and storm assessment. He has done extensive amounts of research in forensic architecture, roofing, and waterproofing. |

Sean R. PrimeauxArchitect/Project ManagerMr. Primeaux is responsible for creative input regarding Design, Construction Documentation, and Construction Administration for Ziler Architects. By regularly making job site observations and communicating with the general contractor, Sean is provided with in-depth understanding of the job site status, and effectively communicates these issues with the owner and users. By regularly making job site observations, Sean verifies that project time line milestones are being met, and that the project is being completed as designed and in compliance with the Contract Documents. Sean regularly communicates with the Ziler Architects staff who assists with the in-office aspects of the project, and also holds an FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) to Commercially operate Remote Pilot Small UAS (drones).

Trevor L. WallerArchitectMr. Waller has been involved in the design and production of construction documents for schools, municipal buildings, university buildings, commercial, and parks and recreation projects. Mr. Waller is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Mr. Waller strives to provide client focused design solutions and is committed to the success of this firm.

Jill A. BonarOffice ManagerMrs. Bonar serves as an administrative assistant at Ziler Architects, performing a wide range of administrative and office support activities to aid in the efficient operation of the company. Mrs. Bonar is heavily involved in production of project specifications, accounting, billing and office management. She is an integral component of the effective and consistent administration of the Ziler Architectural firm.
